Minimalist Modern

New work inspired by Hokusai: In these pieces a minimalist approach to color and tone is used to create a sense of spaciousness and calm. These pieces are composed with ink and brush on paper, and then refined as new media prints that can be produced on canvas, paper or silk. They are designed in a layered process that allows the work to be tinted or colorized to work with the theme of an interior. As with the traditional Japanese kakemono the color can change with the seasons.
